Jeff Russell

CEO / Co-Founder

Jeff Russell is the co-founder and CEO of KeepingCount. He is also the Founder and Chairman of Jitasa, a certified B-Corporation providing finance and accounting services to non-profits nationwide. Previously, Jeff worked at Accenture as a business process outsourcing advisor and consultant for Fortune 500 companies, and at PACCESS, a supply chain services company, overseeing their Asian operations from his office in Bangkok.

Jeff is married to the wonderful Heidi and his two children, Ty and Lucy, enjoy eating Idaho's fine potatoes and skiing on its snowy slopes.

Jeff is a Georgia Tech Industrial Engineer and holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Yale University.

Mark Russell

Co-Founder

Mark Russell is co-Founder of KeepingCount & RealCount and CEO of Fromley, a real estate development company with operations in Idaho, Washington, Georgia and Alabama. He has a Ph.D. in global business and is a candidate in the Advanced Finance Program at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.

An avid traveler and triathlete, Mark has competed in dozens of marathons and triathlons around the world. He’s traveled to over 90 countries and enjoys working with the various nationalities and cultures in the Boise area. He is the author and editor of multiple books. When he’s not out working, he’s at home with his wife, Laurie, and Laurie’s small zoo of animals.

Song Pettus

COO

Song Pettus is the COO of KeepingCount. In this role, Song oversees the company’s sales and service delivery efforts. Song was the President and CEO of Total Accounting and Bookkeeping Solutions (TAABS), before joining KeepingCount. Previously, Song worked at Apple and Beats by Dre overseeing their global supply chain operations and spent over a decade working in the finance industry.

Song received his MBA from Columbia Business School and a BBA in Finance from the University of Kentucky (still a die-hard University of Kentucky basketball fan).

Song is originally from  Kentucky, but has enjoyed his adventure having lived in multiple places across the US, before settling down in Los Angeles, CA. Song loves spending his free time and weekends with his wife, and running around with their 3 children. A fun fact, Song and his daughter were recently in a national commercial for Volkswagen!

Ashley Rhoden

Manager of Strategic Partnerships

Throughout her career, Ashley has always been motivated by two things – helping people and improving processes. At KeepingCount, she gets to do both. As the Operations and Client Success Manager, she constantly looks for ways to optimize workflows and procedures to improve client service. Ashley oversees client onboarding and strives to achieve the highest efficiency possible. As KeepingCount’s client base grows, she also ensures the company’s high standards for service are always met and that when accountants join the firm, they can hit the ground running.

Ashley received her Master’s degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix, where she also earned an undergraduate degree in business management. She began her career in the dental industry as an office manager and helped the practice grow by streamlining processes. Later, as the director of operations at a publishing company, she introduced efficiencies that enhanced performance. She approaches her work with an entrepreneurial mindset in all of her roles. One of her greatest strengths is solving problems, which is reflected in a favorite quote from Milton Berle, “If opportunity doesn’t knock, build a door.”

Ashley was born and raised in Colorado but now lives in Naples, Florida, with her husband and two children. A little-known fact is that her family has roots in Jamaica, which helps explain her favorite dish, Jamaican Curry Chicken – it’s a family recipe. She loves the ocean and lives just three miles from the Gulf of Mexico, where she and her family like to go boating, paddleboarding, or watch the sunset.

Chris Haller

Vice President of Marketing

As Vice President of Marketing, Chris Haller oversees RealCount’s marketing function and brand strategy, marcom tech stack, business development, and sales engagement functions.

Chris began his career with S&P 500, multifamily REIT, UDR and has remained in commercial real estate over eighteen years. Prior to RealCount, Chris ran marketing consulting firm Haller Marketing Partners for nearly a decade, providing strategic guidance, martech implementation, automation, and marketing leadership to members of the real estate industry as well as B2B sales organizations.

Outside of work, Chris enjoys spending his time with his wife and daughter, tinkering with AI, running, snowboarding the Colorado mountains, and rebuilding old motorcycles.

Chris holds a bachelor’s degree in English – Creative Writing from Ohio State University and is a certified project manager (PMP) by the Project Management Institute.

Tierney Clafford

Manager of Recruiting

Tierney Clafford is a SoCal native who brings over 10 years of HR/People Operations experience to our team. She has a passion for creating a diverse work culture, enhancing leadership development, implementing robust training programs, onboarding top talent professionals, and managing full cycle HR functionalities. RealCount has allowed her to not only utilize, but to expand upon these subjects, which in turn, has created a workplace that allows our employees to truly thrive in their careers.

In her time away from work Tierney enjoys spending quality time with her family, traveling/adventuring, and movie nights in (with lots of popcorn).

Travis Nickell

Operations Manager

Travis Nickell has spent the vast majority of his professional career, over 17 years, working with and supporting the people and businesses of the real estate industry in many operational capacities. In his role as Operations Manager, he brings a strong desire to meet the needs of both the clients and employees of RealCount.

Travis has been married for fifteen years, has four young children and resides in his hometown of Boise, Idaho. He loves exercising, rock music, craft beers, and cheering on the BSU Broncos. He graduated with honors from Northwest Nazarene University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.
